Final Edition of Nightly News, June 15th

Thank you Cecily for helping our Chinese families orchestrate today's meal. I know it was appreciated and needed. As you saw the district movers were in today. I have tried my best to track all of the moving information and there are movers in the building Friday and Saturday, but Saturday's movers are the construction companies. The district wanted to get things moving (pun intended). They will continue their work tomorrow.  Emily and Tara will be in at standard time. I will be in around 10:00 as I have a late night and some mom duties to take care of. As you know the end of the year is a lot and this year is even more. I haven't really wrapped my brain around my daughter's graduation that is in two hours. I am turning off my work phone in a few minutes and am going to be present for this event.  We will be checking out people all day tomorrow. I am really hoping to leave by 5:00 so I can begin preparing for a large graduation party at my house Saturday. We will commu...

You all did it! I know it was a long day and the week feels even longer. You made memories today. Thank you for all of your work today and every day.  I was in communication with our moving contacts today and they let me know movers will be on site at 9:00 tomorrow morning and will be bringing a pallet of boxes.  Check out sign up sheets are on the counter as I type this.

Nightly News for June 12th

Tara will be in around 10:00 tomorrow as she will be attending 5th Grade Promotion @ Hayhurst.  Please be sure to call the office if your class is not in your room tomorrow. The exception would be your regularly scheduled recess times/lunch and field day.  We have many families coming to pick up kids, drop things off etc. and do our best to track people down etc. but it makes it much easier when we know where classes are.  Along the same lines if you have invited families/parents in for parties, events, etc. please let the office know. We are getting a lot of people saying they have permission to be in rooms, but we want to ensure this is actually the case. You may have noticed contractors etc. in the building. They will be in for most of the week as they prepare for their work which begins on Saturday.  Movers will be in the building on Friday to begin moving furniture etc. They will do their best to stay out of the way and are actually available to support with som...

Nightly News for June 7th

There are more boxes. I have set aside some for our reading team who gets to pack up all the intervention materials. At this time we ask that you take a limit of five boxes. I am being told that the boxes are technically for district owned materials and they are not providing boxes for personal belongings. Reading between the lines they will move your stuff, but you may need to secure additional boxes for your personal items they are moving. Continue purging! Marie Kondos says if you haven't touched something in six months ( a year for season items) it should go. ;-)  I have been asked to conduct some district level interviews tomorrow afternoon. I will be leaving the building around 12:30 tomorrow and will be out for the remainder of the day. I can be reached by text or email.  I put an email out last night, but wanted to let everyone know Gus and Bart the resident goats are back for a quick visit of about a week. Please do not allow students in the science courtyard until fu...

Nightly News for June 6th

This is a late addition as I forgot to put it in when I sent this out earlier. Dan Carpenter will be offline tomorrow. He will be in the building, but is preparing for an event with our 7th grade WEB students. As a reminder I will be out of the building until around noon and will then be working with the WEB students for the remainder of the day.  The library will not be open starting Friday the 9th. The last day of classes in the library are the 8th. I have communicated with those impacted.  More boxes will be arriving hopefully tomorrow. Boxes will be located in the office and five will be given out at a time to ensure everyone has an opportunity to pick up some boxes.  Here is the link to the year end check list. Please note it has several links on it (thus I am sharing it electronically). All staff needs to fill out a paper copy.   https://docs.google.com/document/d/18gESP3EuR0Q9hreSX7wGOpyRYUa0viDs/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=117829890836834948640&rtpof=t...
