Nightly News for June 6th
- This is a late addition as I forgot to put it in when I sent this out earlier. Dan Carpenter will be offline tomorrow. He will be in the building, but is preparing for an event with our 7th grade WEB students. As a reminder I will be out of the building until around noon and will then be working with the WEB students for the remainder of the day.
- The library will not be open starting Friday the 9th. The last day of classes in the library are the 8th. I have communicated with those impacted.
- More boxes will be arriving hopefully tomorrow. Boxes will be located in the office and five will be given out at a time to ensure everyone has an opportunity to pick up some boxes.
- Here is the link to the year end check list. Please note it has several links on it (thus I am sharing it electronically). All staff needs to fill out a paper copy. https://docs.google.com/document/d/18gESP3EuR0Q9hreSX7wGOpyRYUa0viDs/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=117829890836834948640&rtpof=true&sd=true
- Thank you to those of you who have communicated out end of year plans and reserved specific spaces for your events (i.e. garden, playgrounds, auditorium). If you are making plans, please be sure to check in with Leah and/or Shannon to ensure spaces are not already taken up. We are trying to be mindful about planning ahead so we don't run into issues the last few days of school. Please be aware there are some shifts in recess locations/times. I have directly communicated this out and will try to do so here as well.
- K-5 Classrooms - It is important you have your classroom libraries that go with Wit and Wisdom. Also, K-2/3 ensure you have all of your Geodes and Fundations materials together. Next year Clark will be fully implementing the district's literacy program. You can find the library distribution list here.
- Field Day Info
Shannon sent out the slide show for Field Day. Please take some time to go over this with your classes BEFORE Friday. We strongly suggest reviewing it on Friday as well to set students up for success. We will have classes go during their normal specials timeslot. Teachers are to remain with their classes during field day. Please feel free to take a ten minute bathroom break, just be sure to find another staff member supporting field day to cover your class during this time. I did check and we will have enough planning minutes for the week (410).
