Nightly News for June 12th

  • Tara will be in around 10:00 tomorrow as she will be attending 5th Grade Promotion @ Hayhurst. 
  • Please be sure to call the office if your class is not in your room tomorrow. The exception would be your regularly scheduled recess times/lunch and field day.  We have many families coming to pick up kids, drop things off etc. and do our best to track people down etc. but it makes it much easier when we know where classes are. 
  • Along the same lines if you have invited families/parents in for parties, events, etc. please let the office know. We are getting a lot of people saying they have permission to be in rooms, but we want to ensure this is actually the case.
  • You may have noticed contractors etc. in the building. They will be in for most of the week as they prepare for their work which begins on Saturday. 
  • Movers will be in the building on Friday to begin moving furniture etc. They will do their best to stay out of the way and are actually available to support with some of your moving etc. 

Below is the schedule for tomorrow's Field Day.

11:20-12:05 (2nd/3rd)-Novick, Fitzgerald, Vane, Newton, Brey, Gevurtz, 
Support Staff- Mahoney, Kennedy, Ford, Freeman, Roddis, Watkins, Le

12:10-12:57- 6th Grade (Students go to 4th period class for attendance) Staff w/ classes- Brenner, Wickstrom, Curtis, 
Support Staff- D. Carpenter, Le, Morgan, Chukwu, B. Carpenter,Eldridge, *We could use some additional support here!

Please note the change for 7th/8th Grade Times

7th/8th Grade Students go to 5th period class for attendance. 5th period teachers with no 6th graders please take your classes and help supervise. 7th and 8th graders will remain at field day from approximately 1:50-3:10. We will make an all call when your classes should head out. Please wait until that time. They will also be using this time to sign yearbooks. 6th graders need to remain in their normal 6th period classes.

Please note that afternoon recesses on the big playground will also be impacted. Below are times that the small playground is available for your 2nd recess. You are welcome to come up with another plan for recesses, but we want to avoid issues with too many students on the field/playground at once. 

3rd Grade- Small Playground 2:35-2:50
4th Grade- Small Playground 2:50-3:05
5th Grade- Small Playground 1:05-1:25

The Small Playground is available until 11:10 in the morning on the 9th, but can not be used after that as it has classes scheduled on it. The Big Playground is not available all day with the exception of those participating in Field Day or Lunch Recesses.

Morning Minute for May 8th

 A reminder that lunch will be ready to roll tomorrow @ 12:40 in the staff room. We will be serving burritos and tacos.  A shift in the schedule. We will serve desserts on Friday and Italian sodas on Thursday.  Please note orders for Italian sodas need to be turned in by Thursday at noon. These can be put in Leah's box. If we do not have an order form one will not be delivered. These were handed out at staff meeting yesterday.
