Final Edition of Nightly News, June 15th

  •  Thank you Cecily for helping our Chinese families orchestrate today's meal. I know it was appreciated and needed.
  • As you saw the district movers were in today. I have tried my best to track all of the moving information and there are movers in the building Friday and Saturday, but Saturday's movers are the construction companies. The district wanted to get things moving (pun intended). They will continue their work tomorrow.
  • Emily and Tara will be in at standard time. I will be in around 10:00 as I have a late night and some mom duties to take care of. As you know the end of the year is a lot and this year is even more. I haven't really wrapped my brain around my daughter's graduation that is in two hours. I am turning off my work phone in a few minutes and am going to be present for this event.
  • We will be checking out people all day tomorrow. I am really hoping to leave by 5:00 so I can begin preparing for a large graduation party at my house Saturday. We will communicate out via the intercom as I know most people are not checking emails frequently as they pack.
  • Remember to locate your orange buckets. Leave your phones in your classrooms in an easy to locate spot (i.e. not a cupboard). Fans should remain in rooms also.

Alright this is really the end of the Nightly News for Harrison Park K-8. I feel honored to have served you this year and for the past five years. As I said at promotion on Tuesday, I walked in nine years ago and just like the Kindergartners I had so much to learn. I have learned so much from each and every one of you. I know HP is not an easy place to cut your teeth and certainly is still difficult as a seasoned staff member...but the fact is you made it and are strong for your work here. Please enjoy your well deserved summer and rejuvenate. Find time to focus on neglected friends, mundane house projects and make memories.

I want to think our support staff and team for keeping things afloat. I feel some of my best work is in the people I have hired. I cannot express my gratitude enough for Emily, Tara and Jill. I hope our paths will all cross often. Goodnight Bulldogs!
