Morning Minute for October 31st

Take a deep breath. We got this. PAT members I shared out a Google Doc earlier today (Monday) to be filled out at your convivence. Please note that we are not collecting interior building keys in the event of the strike. You are welcome to leave them in a secure location in your room or other secure location. We will be collecting exterior building keys. I have reached out to those staff members individually. I hope you were able to take some time this weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather and autumn colors.  We are observing Dead Week. One student reported this meant no work 😏. Please remind students it means no new assignments in the grade book for this quarter.  Students and staff may contribute to our Oferenda on Tuesday. Thank you Ms.Lise for helping to make this happen. There is no staff meeting on Tuesday as this time should be used to complete any needed compliance trainings in Pepper. Morning Minute for Friday October 27th

 Thank you to those people who stuck around to enjoy the teen spirit. It is always great to see our kids having fun together.  A special shout out to Bobbi who has been filling in for Ms.Cami. It was awesome to see so many kids participate. I was a big fan of Scrubs as well. Thank you to Coach Carpenter for his work with Web putting on today's assembly. It was largely student run and that is something we couldn't have done a year ago. Bravo! We are open to feedback and will work on our protocols around entry etc. but overall it was successful.  For those who helped today feel free to flex your time tomorrow morning and come in by 9:00. Tomorrow (Friday) is the first day of dead week. New assignments should not be given and students should be very aware of any late/missing work or retakes they may have.  Please be sure they have this information and you have done your due diligence to provide them with opportunities to share their proficiency. Morning Minute for Thursday October 26

Tomorrow (Thursday) is Throwback Day. Basically dress your favorite era.   A reminder our Book Study will meet tomorrow morning in room 130 @ 8:00ish.  Advisory team members please plan on meeting in room 136 (possibly 130) @ 8:50 for a short meeting/check in. This is not optional.  Permission forms should have been sent home today by 7th period teachers. Students will get their wristbands first thing in the morning. We will send an all call when all students are done getting their bracelets. Do not take attendance until this all call.  If you are up for some Thursday fun come hang out with fellow staff members and students to see them enjoy activity day. I know it is a long day, but it always brings a smile to my face. The more the merrier! I also want to give a shout out to Kojo and Conni for making sure our kids have extra ciricular opportunities.
