Morning Minute for October 31st

  • Take a deep breath. We got this.
  • PAT members I shared out a Google Doc earlier today (Monday) to be filled out at your convivence. Please note that we are not collecting interior building keys in the event of the strike. You are welcome to leave them in a secure location in your room or other secure location. We will be collecting exterior building keys. I have reached out to those staff members individually. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
  •  Shannon has done a great job sending this out, but if you are in need of some stylish HP gear here is the order form. I realize the timing isn't great... Gear Order Form
  • Just to put it on your radar: Portland Public Schools is teaming up with EveryDay Labs to enhance our attendance improvement strategy. EveryDay Labs will reach out to families with mailings and text messages to help keep attendance on track. These communications will cover all absences, including both excused and unexcused, as all absences contribute to chronic absenteeism and loss of valuable learning time.

If you receive emails or inquiry from parents in regards to texts, emails, or mail they receive in regards to their student's attendance this may be where it is coming from. As a building admin I was told about it with the above information. Other than that I don't have a lot of other info. We will be do some exploring of this soon.

  • We have shared this information out before, but in the event you need anything here it is again.

  • In the event of a strike I will not publish a Morning Minute. I will communicate with PFSP and other applicable staff as needed.
