Admin @ Leadership

There is a lot of uncertainty and stress at this time. I hope you were able to take some time this weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather and autumn colors.

  • We are observing Dead Week. One student reported this meant no work 😏. Please remind students it means no new assignments in the grade book for this quarter.
  • Students and staff may contribute to our Oferenda on Tuesday. Thank you Ms.Lise for helping to make this happen.
  • There is no staff meeting on Tuesday as this time should be used to complete any needed compliance trainings in Pepper. If you haven't completed them you are welcome to leave at 4:00 and complete them at home. If you have completed them you are welcome to leave at 4:00.
  • With input from staff and families I finally made decisions around conferences. Please note we have also been asked to offer virtual conferences for a portion of our time. I have advisory class lists with ESL, SPED and students who have been discussing Kid Chats highlighted. We will begin making appointments for these students first. The schedule will look as follows:

Monday the 20th-

Scheduled Conferences w/ IEP, ESL and students identified in Kid Chat

8:00-8:30- Prep Time (Breakfast/Snacks Provided by Admin)

8:30-11:30  Conferences

11:30-12:15- Lunch

12:15-4:00 Conferences

4:00-5:30- Teacher Thanksgiving Dinner in library

5:30-8:00 Conferences

Tuesday the 21st

Drop in Conferences/Online Conferences

8:00-8:30- Prep Time

8:30-11:30  Online Conferences (can be done from home)

11:30-12:15- Lunch

12:15-4:00 Drop in Conferences

4:00-5:00- Dinner (PTA provided)

5:00-7:30 Drop in Conferences

7:30-8:00 Clean up/Data Collection

We will have grade level CORE teachers together in one classroom. MIP, Elective, ESL, SPED and Intervention and Support staff will have specific locations as well. In short, we will schedule up to four conferences for a half hour time slot with CORE teachers. Parents/families will then access other teachers on a drop in basis. Everyone will have access to the conference schedules/appointments. Clearly, this is something we will discuss more but I wanted to give everyone a heads up.
