  • HP will be participating in the Oregon Battle of the Books again this year!  OBOB is a fun reading competition that encourages students to read great books from many different genres and perspectives.  Interested students can get a form from the library.  They do not need to have a team, they can just sign up individually.  Important dates:

-Interest forms are due Thursday, November 9: Turn in to Ms. Peacock or Ms. Fatima
-Mandatory OBOB meeting for all participants on Wednesday, November 15
-School battles will begin in February, all during school hours
-Regional tournament is in March

We have copies of all of the OBOB books available in the library, and on SORA, so students should start reading now!

If you have any questions, contact Ms. Peacock at vpeacock@pps.ne

  • Trail Blazers basketball is back, and so is the Trail Blazers special early season Educator Appreciation Offer! With the first game in the Educator Appreciation series slated for next Friday vs Memphis, now is the time for our educators to redeem ONE FREE TICKET to one of five available games before it’s too late (tickets are going fast)! They can redeem that ticket here, along with accessing additional discounted tickets for friends and family to join. Please share this offer with all educators as we want to make sure all are given the opportunity to attend.

  • On the topic of Affinity groups please email Leah if you are interested in support one of these groups: GSA, Black Student Affinity Group, Asian Affinity Group, Latinx Affinity Group, Russian/Ukrainian Affinity Group, Arabic Affinity Group, Pacific Island Affinity Group. If there is a group missing or you feel we need an Affinity group for please feel free to reach out to me.
  • A reminder that if you are leaving campus you should let the office know of your departure. This is for safety reasons. We don't ask staff to sign in/out but do need to know if you are leaving during the day in the event of an emergency. For example you leave to go grab Burgerville during your lunch and there is a fire. We don't know you left and you are now unaccounted for.
  • Please be sure to hand out PPS Handbooks to all students. These were labeled and sent out to rooms on Tuesday.
  • Don't neglect your Securely duties:
