Morning Minute for June 18th

We are thinking of doing a staff Canvas Page that would house all the our information/links. The question is would you use it? Please feel free to send any feedback to Regina who will be the point person on this. I did not send out the official district notification on the building being closed, but I am sure you are already aware it won't be accessible this summer. If today was any indication it will be loud and unbearable.  I plan on sending three updates over the summer. Again, you are under no expectation to read them until your return. For those of you wanting to get into the building early, this is where I will share information.  As we will be working out of the building over the summer, we will be updating our calendars to show days we will be actually on vacation, versus days we will be working offsite. You are welcome to contact us by phone or email if you need to.  Enjoy your summer. Relax. Rest. Rejuvenate. Recover. We are thankful for your work this yea...

Monday the 17th Admin Team Meeting 9:30-12:30 Tuesday the 18th ILT Wrap Up Meeting 9:00-12:00 We made it! Friday seemed to go pretty smoothly. Thank you for making that happen. We had a large group of kids who just didn't want to leave. When I pulled out a little after 5:00 they were still hanging around the neighborhood. We must have done something right this year! Thank you Amanda for sharing this picture.  The front parking lot will be closed Monday for the duration of the summer. Staff will need to park in the main parking lot near the cafeteria.  Monday and Tuesday are workdays. Please use this time to submit grades, pack and wrap up any loose ends. Please note that you need to sign out with Spencer, Regina or me prior to leaving for the summer. As you are being paid for both days the expectation is for staff to be here. If you are able to wrap up early please put in the appropriate time with Shannon.  Grades are due on the 18th. Please be sure to double check ...

Morning Minute for June 14th LAST DAY

Promotion went smoothly. Thank you to all who came out to support. It was a full house. Whew!  Tomorrow is the last day. Let's make it a great one! As you probably saw I am not under the weather. I will be here tomorrow, but may come a bit late.   I will send out a truncated Weekly Forecast on Sunday and on last Morning Minute (if things need to go out). I will send out three updates throughout the summer...read them at will.  I know I was super confusing about the schedule tomorrow with kids. Please remind them that if they are in 6th grade they go to their 6th and 7th period after lunch and if they are in 7th grade they go to activity time.  Period Time Notes 1st 9:15-9:50 2nd 9:54-10:29 3rd 10:33-11:09 8th Graders Leave 4th 11:12-11:47 5th 11:51-12:21 6th/7th Lunch 12:21-1:01 6th for 6th 1:05-1:40 7th Grade in Activities from 1:05-2:19 7th for 6th 1:44-2:19 6th for 7th 2:23-2:58 6th Grade in Activities 7th for 7th 3:02-3:37 Clap Out 3:40-3:45 All Staff/Studen...

Morning Minute for June 13th

Some staff have shared they may be ready to check out as early as Friday afternoon. I know a few people had medical procedures scheduled etc. As a reminder Monday and Tuesday are contractual days. If you are checking out early you will need to put in the appropriate short leave form. No need to put in for a sub.  There was a late request for students to support at Clark's Field Day tomorrow. I had a list of 7th graders who attended Harrison Park for most of their K-5 experience and asked several of them if they would like to support. Those attending will leave class at 11:45, eat lunch and then head over to Clark. They will return by 3:00 for the assembly.  We will mark them out if they actually attend tomorrow. These students may attend:  Athena Branch, Michael Knight, Alex Leedle, Nogc Tran, Itiel Orozco, Aireauna Taylor, Jackson Whipple, Aisha Awow.  We are on a PM Assembly schedule tomorrow. Once we have the rows for 8th graders to sit in we will get a map o...

Morning Minute for June 12th

Thank you Joel and Bobbi for ensuring our student's were able to showcase their learning.  All the kids made it to the bus! Chromebook Collection is going well! We are down to 8 students who still need to return devices . That being said, if you have any devices in your rooms or at home, please return them to Brenda on either Wednesday or Thursday. Specifically, if you have any silver Samsung devices we need them returned ASAP so we have enough for students next year. Talk to Brenda if you have any questions. The only two events on tap for today are Natalia's celebrations with students (see list and times below) and the WEB lunch which will take place during lunch/5th period. We are on a normal schedule. I emailed those staff members who should be here to support on Thursday night (their second night event) with tentative assignments. As a reminder this is one of two required nights per the contract. If you attended the 6th Grade Open House you have served your second night. ...

Morning Minute for June 11th

We will be on a PM Assembly schedule tomorrow, Tuesday the 11th. This is a shift from our original plans. I sent an email out earlier this afternoon to let everyone know we will be canceling the building wide WIN time. We did not have much entered in the spreadsheet designed to determine where students should be receiving support. My apologies to those of you who did make efforts to make this happen.  We will be reviewing what is in the spreadsheet and may be able to pull students who need a quiet space to catch up on things. If you have any questions in regards to this please feel free to direct them to me. We will have assigned seating for tomorrow's assembly. We will dismiss classes using the intercom. We will begin releasing classes around 2:40. Students should leave their backpacks/belongings in classrooms. To my knowledge there are no groups being pulled out tomorrow. The only exception would be those who need to get work done as a result of cancelled WIN time.  I have a...
