We are down to the last week. Whew, we got this! I hope you were able to accomplish things at home or simply just rest this weekend. I spent Saturday gearing up for this next week and today am getting some school work done before graduation parties.
I can not thank Ron, Amanda, Gabe, Georgie, Mike and Shannon for all their work in making the 8th grade pseudo Outdoor School happen. Melvyn had never seen the ocean. We also had a LOT of kids who had never roasted a marshmallows or made smores. I literally had tears in my eyes watching them sing and "play" together by the campfire. Truly magical. When my kids were growing up we went on a lot of last minute adventures and had spontaneous pool parties. I often said, "It's about creating memories". Our team was able to do this for kids all year long. Please be sure to read emails this week so you don't miss important information! After the 18th you are email free for eight weeks.
- Here is the schedule for practice by period with the students. The darker lines mean the students are already scheduled for band or dance and not missing class. Students who will miss class should check in with their 1st or 3rd period teacher before going to the Auditorium. Students will be coded for a school event in Synergy. If you don't see them at all please let the office know they are absent.
- Tuesday we will run on the OSAS testing schedule and students will have extended WIN time. WIN Reminder - SpreadsheetThe following teachers have entered information for students:WellingtonCooperFlanaganMitchellWilliamsCoggins
- Awards should have been entered in the Googledoc, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jn3ckwYTaXzKjebLgyx2EZGDLhwyA4UTVpcrN3yk8mY/edit. Natalie will be working on getting certificates ready to hand out on Thursday at the Awards Assembly. We are asking for teams to ensure parents are contacted to let them know their child will be receiving and award and they are welcome to attend. The assembly will begin at 3:00. Please share with them we will have a visitor section and they will need to check in through the office.
- The building is open until approximately 10:00 nightly BUT we ask that all teachers are out by 8:00. If you plan on staying in the building after 6:00 please be sure to check in with Phil to let him know you are in the building and be out by 8:00. The building will not be open next weekend.
- Here is the link to the end of year check out form: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SwpXsrFsGdNKllh09q0P_gW0JdjqomW9/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=117829890836834948640&rtpof=true&sd=true . Please note we will be asking you to bring your orange bucket up to the office with your keys for checkout. When your checkout form is completed and you are ready to depart for the summer we ask that you do a final checkout with an admin. We will be available after noon on both Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th for this purpose.
- A reminder to get any extended hours, absences, and receipts turned in as soon as possible. Shannon will be officially done on the 18th.
- For those who have their second night event duty, we ask that you arrive for support for promotion by 5:30 on Thursday. We should have everything wrapped up by 7:30. I will work on getting assignments done by Wednesday.
- It is still on my list of things to take care of, but I am working on assignments for the last day of school. We have some wackiness running 6th and 7th period two times.
