Morning Minute for May 2nd

Whew! I was out of the building until 1:30 and then had to leave for our tax appointment at 3:40 (first time we have ever had to file an extension). My family has been struggling with some pretty awful flu/colds the last week and a half so I have been doing my best to soup them up and try to take care of them in the evening. I just sat down and realized I hadn't even started the Morning Minute. I have also been trying to limit my screen time (except for work) as some of our students asked me to join their Screen Time Challenge. So far I am getting blown away!

  • Tomorrow is Multicultural Night. The point person for this event is Dan Carpenter. If you have questions please send them his way. I have some knowledge, but he has put everything together (thanks in advance). The event begins at 5:00 and runs until 7:30. Staff who stay to support will receive an hour and a half extended pay. You are welcome to come from help set up and leave at 5:30, come at 5:00 and support until 6:30...or even come at 6:30 and help clean up. Obviously everyone is welcome for more than an hour and half, but there is only so much budgeted for this event.
  • On the topic of Multicultural Night we have many student performers. There are no practices being  held during the day with the exception of students who have permission to practice at lunch.
  • SUN will continue to run tomorrow after school. Please remind students that if they are enrolled for they will carry on.
  • With the end of the year coming we are aware of several field trips. Please ensure that at least one person attending is trained to disperse medication.Several student take meds and if attending someone has to be trained.  There is an online training on May 20 for those who might need that. If you need more information about the training reach out to Kelly.
