Morning Minute for September 26th

• Bus Drills are today (or tomorrow depending on when you are reading this). Below are videos that need to be shared with your 1st period classes prior to going out to the bus. The district is sending seven buses and we are fairly certain we can fit all our students on them at one time. Please wait until the overhead announcement is made and then make your way to the buses. Historically they are located in the cafeteria parking lot. This may be a bit different this year. Everyone will need to come through the lobby as it is so we will have someone direct from there. Schoene, Jernigan, and Coggins please leave your classes at 9:30 (since you don't get the announcements).  Spencer and Regina will direct teachers to buses as they exit the building.  Please note the timing of this is not ideal, especially with our testing schedule. We will do our best to be done by 10:52. Please have students leave their belongings in their 1st period class (the exception would be those in the gym). Once kids complete the drill they will return to their 1st period class and collect their belongings. In the event we are running behind and can't be done by 10:52 we will hold students in 1st period and manually ring the bell to release for 2nd period.

• The first day of testing went pretty smoothly. Reminder, as students finish testing set them up for Math Testing. The directions to do this are here. ALL students get access to text-to-speech on Math. Not all students will use this so you don't need headphones for each student. Students can use personal wired headphones or earbuds we offer. If you need a couple more pairs text Theresa, 503.407.7326. 

• A reminder that we have Staff Option 1 (AM) and Staff Option 2 (PM) for our PD. We will begin promptly at 8:00 and 4:00. 

• I will be out tomorrow. I may return later in the afternoon, but it will dependent on where I am at. My daughter leaves for ten months tomorrow and we will be seeing her off. I am not sure where I will be, or my husband and son. I may need some time to pull myself together. I will keep people posted. I am sending this out early because my night involves packing...wish me luck.
