Nightly News for March 8th
- Tomorrow we will have burritos and tacos available for our PFSP/Classified Staff in the Conference Room. The hope is to have it ready for you by 11:15. We will make an announcement when everything is good to go.
- A reminder that tomorrow is our PTA sponsored Atlas Pizza fundraiser. 20% of their profits will go towards PTA projects. I tried to put in an order for tomorrow, but they do not open until 4:00...looks like dinner. Their address is 3570 SE Division St.. Website is altalaspizzapdx.com, phone number is 503.232.3004. This fundraiser is not good on GrubHub, Door Dash, orders.
- Remind your students to submit Caught Being Kind forms so we can continue to encourage kindness at HP. If staff would like to nominate someone you can either fill out a form or email Stacey Freeman with a student name- I don't need any other info. Watch for names on the kindness tree by the office and the grade level who demonstrates the most kindness will earn a treat at the end of the month! All students nominated will hear their names read over the intercom and see their name on the tree.
- Danelle will be working in a classroom for the next three days, and possibly beyond, to track student data and begin building some plans for several students. This is one of the primary roles of a Therapeutic Intervention Coach. We have been fortunate to utilize her skills in additional ways, but at this time will need this to be her focus. Natalie B. will be taking on a few of her students for the week (this will be communicated with them) and will be able to continue work with some of her regulars. I just wanted to make sure this was communicated.
- HVAC and Air Purifier Information | PFAC1001 is an optional course now available on Pepper for all PPS Staff who wish to learn more about current ventilation practices and the two types of portable air filters units currently used in the District.
- As we work towards enhancing our cyber security footprint by enforcing 2-step authentication, we will require that school based staff (excluding substitutes) must enroll in Duo. School site staff will be required to enroll by cluster groupings with due dates of either April 13th or April 20th. Our date is April 20th. If you need support when enrolling in Duo, please reach out to OTIS Support at 503.916.3375 or support@pps.net. Instructions are here for you to be able to enroll in Duo.
