8th Graders Return

We are heading into the final two weeks. This week will be busy with several night events and Chromebook turn in. Please hold to building and classroom expectations. The more normalcy we can provide the better. We do not have any alternative schedules this week so hopefully that keeps things "normal".

  • We will not hold PLCS or Kid Chats this week. Our hope is grade level teams find a morning to touch base about last day of school plans and get things firmed up.
  • Please note that in the event we have unfilled sub positions this week we may ask staff to cover during their PLC period as this is admin directed time. We hope this is not the case, but we had several unfilled positions last week. Extended pay only applies if staff does not receive at least one forty five minutes during the day for planning.
  • I failed to get the end of year check list out on Friday. Shannon will get it into boxes on Monday. Here is the checkout list. EndofYearCheckOut. Boxes and labels for staff who are moving rooms will be delivered on Monday. Staff who are not moving rooms should acquire their own boxes for end of year. Please remember all staff should take home personal items for the summer. We will have time for Q&A at staff meeting Tuesday.
  • I have been asked if the building would be open on the weekend at all. If there is interest, I will commit to coming in next Sunday the 9th from 9:00-1:00. Please let me know if you plan on coming in on the invite that was sent out. If there is no interest by Thursday I will cancel this time. This is voluntary and extended pay will not be provided unless you have to move rooms, then  time could count as your four hours of paid moving time.
  • Tuesday's staff meeting will be focused on wrapping up the year and doing some articulation work.
  • Any year end awards should be entered by Tuesday the 4th as previously stated. Natalie will begin working on certificates to be presented at the assembly on Thursday the 13th this week EndofYearAwards. I will work to ensure the GoogleForm info is collected as well.
  • As a reminder PAT staff who did not attend 6th grade Open House should be attending 8th Grade Promotion as their second night event. This is in alignment with the PAT contract expectations around attending, three night events (with an effort to keep it at two).
  • Please make an effort to get extended hours and receipts turned in this week. Deadlines for office staff are coming up and their timeline for finishing all tasks is very short.
  • Testing is pretty much wrapped up. There are a few outliers that will be addressed. Thank you for your work on this. I know it is a lot. A huge round of applause to Theresa for her work as testing coordinator.
