Morning Minute for June 6th
- WOW. Thank you to Ms.Bee and Kojo for holding our MIP Capstone night. It was amazing to see the work students have put in over this year. Our students have a lot to be proud of. I hope we can find a way to share some of their work with you in the coming days. Next year we have ideas on how we can share this learning with all students.
- The 8th grade teachers and students attending the field trip will be leaving between 9:30-10:00. Staff attending are: Coggins, Huff (has a sub), Benson, Schoene, Steeves and Dickey. Requests for coverage were sent out to support periods these teachers may have with 6th and 7th graders. 8th graders who do not attend may opt to stay home, but may choose to come to school. 8th graders who come to school will attend any classes taught by a teacher who is still in the building. For periods they have an 8th grade CORE teacher they will report to room 122 (Coggins) and staff will be covering during their PLC period on a rotation. This was communicated with those teachers yesterday or this morning. Students/staff should be back in the building by 3:30 Friday.
- Tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday, Spencer will be prioritizing scheduling work for next year. He will be supporting lunches/recesses/release. Calls for support should be directed to Regina and Dan.
- Several students went on a field trip today with one of our Community Partner groups. This information was not directly shared with the office/admin and it was not until we had students checking with us about the field trip that we became aware. This is something we will address in the future. Apologies for not communicating this out.
- Lily, our SUN Site Manager, shared with me today she will be leaving us for a new adventure out of state. I want to thank her for building a middle school SUN program from scratch this year. She has laid a great foundation. Please wish her well.
