I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. We stayed close to home and continued to chip away at getting things "summer ready". We are now in the homestretch with just three weeks left of the school year. WE CAN DO IT! This week looks light in terms of happenings, but next week...whew.

  • The Library is officially closed for the remainder of the year. Movers will be in starting tomorrow and Valerie and Naz will be directing. They have been BUSY prepping this. Chukwu and Dr. Dodson will continue to work out of the library this week, but will be moving to temp spaces next week. Chukwu will be using Spencer's office for the remainder of the year. Spencer will be working out of my office (or anywhere else he can find).
  • PLCs - This week please plan for end of year - email/text Theresa if you have questions or need assistance.
  • Extended WIN - OSAS schedule will run on 6/11 - spreadsheet will be out by Tuesday afternoon. Tab 1 will have directions. If teams are feeling this WIN time is not needed please speak up.
  • Testing - The incomplete list has been updated on the testing document. OSAS Feedback - If you don't fill it out I will assume you're okay with how testing went this year. Because of this, only add your opinion if there is something you didn't like or something that you really want to keep. This is an anonymous survey with no required questions.
  • Conni sent this out: Those of you who have 8th graders in your 6th or 7th period classes:  The 8th graders will be gone from your classes during 6th and 7th periods on Friday, May 31st.  As part of the middle school redesign project, which includes college and career work, the  8th grade students are required to do a reflection project after their OSU trip.  On Friday, May 31st the 8th graders will take part in a "work party" of sorts.  This will be about 1.5 hours in length and will take place in the cafeteria as a whole 8th grade class right after lunch until the end of the day.
-The 8th graders in your 6th period will have passes to go to the cafeteria after attendance by 2:15.
-The names marked in Synergy for 7th period of your 8th graders but in case I miss a couple, please forgive and let the office know.

  • Last week I asked for staff to reach out to Regina, Spencer or me to let us know who you would prefer to do a year end check in with. Please be sure to prioritize this as we are scheduling those beginning Tuesday.
  • The building was broken into early this morning (Monday) view one of the construction areas. We believe it was specifically for their equipment. Security Services is aware and will be reviewing cameras. Please let me know if anything appears to be amiss.
  • Our sister school students will be in the building again tomorrow. They will be headed over to Clark for some time as well.
  • I will be putting the end of year check list out in tomorrow's Morning Minute.
