Morning Minute for May 8th
- As you may know we have had HVAC people in this week to take a look at the system. They identified some issues and took care of them. They have also noted the control panels are being put into leave settings. When this happens the system will not restart everyday and run correctly. One of the workers has changed all the settings back to where they need to be. When the system is fully up and running you can only control the room by 4 degrees. I tried to send out a video a while back, but wasn't able to get it to load. I have asked them to send a detailed go by so we all know how to fully run the system. I will try to share out more ASAP, but for now please do not turn the thermostat to the leave setting.
Chukwu will be supporting a YEP field trip tomorrow. I will be out at Leadership.
Thank you Kelly for the drink bar!!!!! What a treat.
Drink orders for teachers need to be turned in by 12:00 tomorrow. Please place them in Conni's box as Leadership students will be making and delivering them during 6th period. If you were not at staff meeting yesterday there is a small stack on the counter.
- Valerie shared this out, but it bares repeating: The library needs to close a little early this year to prepare for necessary updates to the ceiling and floor. We are asking for all student library materials to be returned by Friday, May 17th, but your classroom materials do not need to be returned that soon.
For teacher materials:
-If you will be using the same textbooks next year, you can keep them in your classroom. They do not need to be returned to the library unless you will not be returning to HP, or if you are not going to be using them next year.
-For science textbooks, please let us know what units you will need in the beginning of next year so we can set those aside
-If there are materials (textbooks, novel sets) that you want in the beginning of the year, please let me know what they are and how many you need
-If your students have library materials checked out (class novel sets, books for research) that they need past the May 17 due date, they can keep them and turn them in to me or Naz when they are finished. This only applies to materials they need for class, not personal reading materials.
We're hoping that the library will be back online in August, but I want to make sure that we have the library materials you'll need in the event that the library is still closed at the beginning of the school year. These materials are just textbooks and novel sets; student workbooks and consumables are different and will be available.
The more materials we get returned before everything is packed up, the easier everything will be for me and Naz. Thank you for your help!
