PM Assembly Schedule for Talent Show

I hope Friday was productive and you were able to leave feeling accomplished. It would have been great to spend the day in the building, but I do appreciate Leadership on non student days. My Sundays have been off for a few weeks and my usual routine of waking up and working while the house is quiet isn't happening. I am finally sitting down to do some work this afternoon.

  • There will be a few student shifts, but they are minute. Please be vigilant about taking attendance. If a student does not appear on your attendance please send them to the office. We will not be handing out schedules tomorrow, but will have them available for 6th grade only due to wheel shifts.
  • Regina, Kojo and our MIP students return on Tuesday. We are excited to hear about their experience. Students should be marked absent again tomorrow by Naima.
  • Ramadan ends on Tuesday. We will likely have students out to celebrate Eid.
  • Originally there was not a staff meeting slated for this week per the district calendar. Last week we were told the meeting had been added back in. We will move forward with the original plan and WILL NOT hold staff meeting on Tuesday BUT there is an all staff testing meeting on Thursday morning @ 8:20. All PAT members should be in attendance. If you have not finished your testing training please have it taken care of by this time. In essence if you have not taken completed your testing training Tuesday's staff meeting time should be used for this purpose. As a reminder time has been provided several times for this.
  • I spent some time with the construction team late last week. At this time it is clear the building will not be 100% complete by the start of next school year. It is looking like the Science classrooms (Steeves, Wellington, Rainbow and Mesa Falcon's rooms) will be offline until December. We will begin solidifying spaces a bit more and checking in with people in the next week or so. I have had the opportunity to be in more and more PPS buildings and while the construction has been a hassle I really feel our building will be awesome once it is complete.
  • A reminder we have the talent show assembly on Friday afternoon. Joel has also shared out lists of students who will be out of class to practice later this week. Please be aware.
