Thank you Joel, Bobbi and all the others who helped make our Talent Show happen. We could have used five more minutes, but alas we were able to get the kids out and buses loaded without issue. Thank you as well to Mike Benson for opening his home on Friday night AND helping at the Garden Clean Up on Saturday. Apparently he just came to feed the chickens and got wrangled into helping. Additional gratitude to Phillip for his work!
- The fumes from Friday. have dissipated. Inline responded quickly. There was a vent that had not been capped that was sucking air from the area where painting was occurring and pushing it into the back hall. It has been taken care of today. PLEASE be sure to communicate anything of concern as we will address it ASAP.
- ILT will be meeting on Thursday and one topic of discussion will be next year's schedule. We will be running a 5 of 7 (meaning you teach five periods out of 7). This is non negotiable for middle schools. Here are some draft schedules to look at. Please feel free to provide your ILT with input prior to Thursday: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1orxjl5_YqXL8ruFnMGlM3Ot-XqeNcmDe-2Cm2co0YVY/edit?usp=sharing
- For those of you who don't typically attend a content PLC information about attending one in the next two weeks to help support our ESL students, was sent out. Please identify a PLC on 4/18 or 4/22 to attend. Our week at staff meeting on Tuesday will pair with this. If you do not have any ELL students on your class lists we will ensure you are assigned as a co-teacher so you can benefit from the use of ELLevation. As a reminder PLC times are:
- Advisory + Teachers hosting Outside of Class students during OSAS please make sure you have filled out this survey before Friday - This will give us time to order snacks, etc.
- For all other adults, we will begin assigning support assignments soon.
- If you know you'll be out (and are comfortable sharing) any time during 5/13-5/20, please let Theresa know so she can plan for testing to be covered as best as possible.
- This Tuesday is our incoming 6th Grade Open House. It will run from 6:00-7:30. This is one of three night events for staff. Our first, Back to School Night should be attended by everyone. We give staff the option of attending this event or 8th grade promotion. Please respond the calendar invite if you are attending. The assumption will be made if you do not attend this event you will be at 8th Grade Promotion on June 13th. Of course we welcome everyone to both!
- Our mandatory earthquake drill will be Tuesday at 9:25. More details in Tuesday's morning minute.
- 8th Graders will be taking the Science test this week during their Science period.
