Morning Minute for April 24th

  • Today we celebrate Shannon and Naima! Happy Administrative Professionals Day (4/24). Their work literally keeps us trucking!
  •  As construction continues several additional issues/projects have come up. One of these is work in the library and music room. In an effort to ensure there is enough time to complete these projects by the beginning of the school year,  I have made the decision to close the library early in order for Inline to get a jump start on this work. This greatly increases the likely of having the library open as soon as school begins. With this in mind please reach out to Valerie with any book/resource needs you may have at the end of the year. The plan is for the library to close on May 27th for packing. Packing should conclude by Monday the 3rd and the library will be offline from that point on. Valerie and Naz can support with resources beyond these dates, but early communication will be needed. Valerie put this together:
Here are some important dates:

May 6-10:  Last week for class visits to library
May 10:  Last day to check out books
May 17:  All library books due (I will be handing out notices to all students so they know what books they need to return)
May 28:  Movers will arrive, library will be closed to all staff and students

If you have novel sets that your class will need after May 17, you can keep them and return them when you're finished.  Similarly, if your students are working on research and have library materials that they will need until late May or early June, you can keep those and return them to us later.  We want to minimize the amount of materials coming late to the library because they will have to be boxed and sorted separately, but I also want to make sure your students have the materials they need.
  • If you are not aware the district print shop will be closing starting next fall. If you have orders you can put in now for next year you are strongly encouraged to do so.
