No School- Grading Day

I hope you all had a lot of rest and recovery. I find the best breaks provide time for relaxing, catching up with friends and family, having fun and of course catching up on things on the home front. I was able to do all but the later....sigh. I spent the first part of break in Palm Springs with my parents and sister. I was home for a day and then drove up to Seattle for Opening Day. Go Red Sox! We got home Saturday afternoon and I had a full house of guests for Easter.  I am thankful for the break and ready to get back to work! I find the rest of the year flies by...buckle up.

  • Welcome back Claire Flanagan! We are excited to have you back in the building.
  • We do not have PLCs or Grade Level Team meetings this week. Please use this time for grading and getting your feet back on the ground.
  • Our MIP 8th graders are safe and sound in Taiwan. They have enjoyed time with their host families and are soaking in the language. As a reminder, Regina is out this week with our students. If you have anything that she generally addresses please see Spencer or me.
  • Please take time in all your classes to review your classroom expectations. Now is a great time to make adjustments or shifts. If you do this, it is imperative to share shifts with students. Hold tight to your classroom climate plans as our students thrive with this structure. Monday is also a good day to spend some time on ice breakers, circles, etc. to ease kids back in. A little climate work tomorrow will save you time in the upcoming weeks.
  • On Tuesday we will be on the MAP Testing Schedule, replacing the testing time with WIN time. Please ensure you've filled out the spreadsheet for any students who have any of the following, by putting your initials and the bold word:

1. missing work (they can stay in their 4th period class and work on it unless support is needed)

2. test makeup/retake (need to go to your classroom to do this)

3. both (because of the test they will go to your classroom)

  • OSAS Training - Needs to be completed by 4/9/24 by all staff unless Leah has given permission otherwise. (These adults show up as completed)

Read Oregon Accessibility Manual

Read Test Administration Manual

Complete Pepper Classes PA1033 (35 minute minimum) AND PA1034 (15 minute minimum)

Please note we have provided ample time for completion of this task.
