MAPS Testing

I am definitely late getting the Weekly Forecast out. I opted to take my son to breakfast this morning and then came home and scrubbed the floors. I plan on working a few hours this evening with my dog babies snoring by my side. I hope your weekend provided some rest. I always find the week after Winter Break is extra tiring. This week will be a long one with two nights of conferences. Hang on!

  • Please make sure to have your Advisory classes finish up their conference sheets and get them to Conni's box ASAP.  Thanks so much-Conni
  • MAP testing begins tomorrow (Monday). The testing schedule will run all 5 days this week. Please see below for a copy of this schedule. If you need support during testing please text Theresa  (our testing coordinator) 503.407.7326.
  • Be sure to review MAP Growth Notes Page as there are updated accommodations list for ELA.
  • As a reminder ALL students get MATH text-to-speech. When done testing, ask students if they used the text-to-speech. This info will be used for OSAS.
  • Thanks for continued flexibility and support in completing the rest of the empathy interviews with students who have met benchmark previously or who were absent last week. These interviews provide us with great insight from our students to help us make decisions around student supports and ways we can move the needle towards meeting our SCIP goals.
  • I sent an invite out for Tuesday's staff meeting. We will be meeting at 8:15 and potentially running until 9:05. We will not meet after school. If you need time to prepare for conferences please utilize this time as such. I made this decision because we all have two late nights/long days on Wednesday and Thursday. Our topic for the meeting will be conferences.
  • I will be sending out an email in regards to conferences later this evening, or tomorrow. It will go over where people will be positioned etc.
  • Admin will be hosting a baked potato bar on Thursday starting at 3:45 and running until 4:30.
  • I am watching the weather closely. Please note if weather becomes dicey I generally error on the side of caution and will try to send people living in Vancouver and further distances home ASAP. I have a general idea of where people commute from, but if you feel this applies to you let me know.
