Morning Minute for January 26th

  • The main/cafeteria parking lot is more crowded now that we have lost some parking. Please be mindful of your parking to ensure that others can utilize spots. I will also share this with the Inline workers There have been several reports of some cars parked in a way that does not allow the spots next to them to be utilized. I myself had to crawl through the passenger side of my daughter's car this morning because the people I live with need some parking lessons. It wasn't a great start to my morning!

  • District Instructional Framework posters are on the counter in the office. Please feel free to pick one up and use it in your room. They do serve as good reminders of our work!

  •  On January 29th our construction partners will be doing some air balancing work that will fix any noise problems staff are having In the classrooms. Just an FYI that you may have people in your rooms. 
  • If you have any Title One Compacts from conferences please give them to Shannon, Spencer, Regina, or me. We need to complete these and upload them for our Title compliance. 
  • We are moving forward with changing schedules on Tuesday with the hopes of actually beginning Quarter 3 (may it be better than Quarter 2) on the 31st. I asked for anyone who may need additional support to get grades completed by Tuesday morning at 7:00 to let me know and haven't heard from anyone. If this is not the case please let me know by tomorrow morning or I will assume they will be in on time. Again, when your grades are complete please check in with Naima so she can double-check. She will be in the building on Monday for any support around grading.

Nightly News for Wednesday the 9th

Tomorrow is what may be our last Apple Harvest. This event begins at 5:00 and runs until 7:00. Valerie, Elin and Ron have spent time organizing and we are hoping for a great turn out. All staff are welcome to come and support!  We are looking for a paper cutter. Daniela currently has one in the art room that is hardly functioning. It needs to be retired. I am reaching out in hopes of finding one in the building that is stuffed in a closet or drawer somewhere and could be given to our art room for daily use before  we purchase a new one. Please let her, or me know if you have one you are willing to part with.  Just an FYI I was in meetings pretty much all day. I am behind in responding to emails and will work on this tomorrow as I can and over the weekend.

Nightly News for November 1st

Please note that Shannon, or I,  cannot use the P-Card to make purchases on anyone's personal accounts. For example if you wanted to order something from Home Depot we could not have you send us your link and pay for it using the P-Card. All purchases have to be made on a Harrison Parks specific account OR the employee can pay for it and be reimbursed .   MS Arts Performance 3-5 Assembly 2:30-3:00 tomorrow. Be sure to review the expectations. As a reminder Emily is out tomorrow.

Morning Minute for September 22nd

  Thank you for everyone pitching in today. Three appointments checked off the list! I will be in all day Friday. I heard our 6th graders were a bit active yesterday. Thank you Zach for your excellent heads up.  We have our 6th Grade Mixer today (Friday) from 4:00-5:00. We are unable to offer extended pay, but I am sure if you stay to support you will have plenty of fodder for the weekend. I love Middle School socials. This event takes place from 4:00-5:00.  If you have a student needing translation of a text on their Chromebook try the Snap and Read Extension.  You can use Snap and Read. You can use this to read aloud to a student  1. Turn On Snap and Read - If you can't see it click puzzle piece and click the pin next to it. 2. Go to Options 3. On the left you can choose the read aloud language on the right choose the print change language 4. Highlight the print  5. For read aloud press the Speaker for print change press the Letter A button
