Morning Minute for December 13th
- Here is the form from today's meeting. We tasked grade level teams to fill this out, but if you were not present please fill out for yourself. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfBHtcTkw1FTDosn4eR0AVNNxDeEPxqSQq-j3HIykBo6hNnrg/viewform?usp=sf_link. Please be sure to fill out the Kid Chat spreadsheet if you made calls home for students of concern as discussed in our meeting today.
- We have our first GSA meeting today. This is for 7th and 8th grade students only. We will fold in 6th graders later. Students who want to attend will need to go directly to the cafeteria at 1:20 and eat. This will have them leaving their Advisory class. Advisory teachers please jot down names of students you released and send to Michelle McMillan so we can ensure they made it to the meeting and were not simply skipping. We will provide passes in the future, but wanted kids to be able to opt in easily the first time. Once they finish @ 1:35 they will head to the auditorium where the meeting will take place during lunch/recess. Students should be on time to 6th period.
- For the students who have assigned prayer times, an email went out to teachers who this impacts, I have reiterated to them that their time stands and if they don't show up at this time they will either have to do prayers during lunch/recess or not at all. We understand prayer times shift throughout the year. We will follow this schedule until our return in January and then revaluate.
- All payroll hours, short leaves, etc. are due by Friday at 4:00pm. It is helpful if we get them in sooner!
- Boxes in the lobby are for those moving classrooms only. Please do not use these for other purposes.
- We will put this on pause until after January, but most likely will need to make some shifts:

Wellness Policy and Food Sales on Campus
The Nutrition Services department is regularly audited by ODE to ensure that we are following all rules and regulations. ODE plans to audit PPS this year, and will be checking that all student stores and other fundraisers during the school day are compliant with the USDA/ODE regulations and District Wellness Policy. If foods are being sold during the school day, and are found to not be in compliance with the state and federal regulations, the district will be fined. All foods need to be “Smart Snack” compliant, which means the food items being sold meet certain nutrition guidelines set by USDA and ODE https://foodplanner.healthiergeneration.org/calculator/. We appreciate your support and understanding, and to help PPS pass the audit.
