SCHOOL TOMORROW & Weekly Forecast for November 27th- December 1st
I cannot tell you how excited I am for tomorrow. I know it will likely be a day with some tears, frustrations and of course JOY. There will not be time for a lot of dialog tomorrow and I know over the next few weeks we will need to have more conversation around the strike, new contract language, adjusted schedules etc. We will have these in the coming weeks, but for tomorrow our focus will be on welcoming you all back as well as our students. We will continue the work of building a great middle school together. Please know Spencer, Regina and I are proud to serve you all.
Here is an outline of tomorrow's schedule (Monday's Schedule.) We will continue to work on things throughout the night to ensure we are ready for students at 11:15. WE WILL CONTINUE WITH Quarter 1 Classes tomorrow.
Please be prepared for a lot of unknowns in the next few weeks. From the new term, grades, conferences, new work days, etc. there are still a lot of unanswered questions. We will do our best to relay information out as soon as possible and work with our Instructional Leadership Team and PAT Leadership moving forward.

- There will be no PLCs this week. Your PLCs are welcome to meet, but we will leave that to your discretion.
- A reminder that Theresa is out through the rest of this month and December. We wish her well. Please feel free to have kids, send her positive notes or cards. I can ensure they get to her.
- Congrats to Chukwu on his new arrival. With that said, he will be out. I am unsure of a return date at this time.
- During the last few weeks a few staffing shifts have occurred. First, we want to welcome Samantha Whitelaw, our new .50 Resource Room Teacher. Additionally, today is Amy Liu's first day at Harrison Park as our new Reading Intervention teacher. It is my understanding most of you met both of these outstanding educators during the strike. Sadly, both Lalelia and Ruby were offered new positions and have left Harrison Park. Ruby will be working as a Community Agent in PPS. We wish her well on her new adventure. Lalelia, has accepted a para position in the school her son attends. She was very sad to leave, but alas less drive time, gas savings, and more money won out. She is starting school in January and this will help make things easier. We are working to fill these two positions. If you know of someone who is interested in an EA position, specifically a Spanish speaker, please send them our way!
- Antonio, our Campfire leader, will be out of the building until January. There is no programming until that time.
- SUN has completed the Fall session. We still have a few activities on Wednesdays through this week.
- The week of November 6th-10th was National School Psychologist Week. Alas we were not here to honor Dr. Dodson.

- We are going to be holding emergency drill training for our ESL students the first week of December. These have been scheduled in the calendar. Students attending the sessions will provide a pass.
