Morning Minute for Tuesday the 28th

  • Thank you for your work today. I know it was not the time we all wanted for the transition back. Our goal was to try and give PAT members at least one day to get their bearings. Tomorrow should be utilized to communicate grades, allow time to wrap up the end of the Quarter 1 and tie up any loose ends left before November 1st. It is good to be back with you all. I am trying to send this out before I head home for the night. Please remember to check your email a little more frequently tomorrow in the event things pop up.
  • Picture Retake schedule will be out in the morning (I didn't have it as of "press time"). Please note you do not need to take your entire class for retakes. Again, more info tomorrow morning.
  • We will continue to have students follow their Quarter 1 schedule tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday. Students will begin their Quarter 2 schedules on Thursday. We will work with 6th grade wheel teachers, Health/PE teachers and Naima to do our best with attendance.
  • Regina and I met with PAT reps after school today. We are asking that grades be submitted by Wednesday the 29th by 9:00. Naima will be in early on Thursday and will do the final submission on Thursday morning. After this is completed, we will begin additional Quarter 2 moves. If you have questions about grading please reach out to Regina, Spencer or me. Again, we know you will be using your professional judgement to ensure grades are an accurate indication of student's effort, knowledge and skills. If you are done with your grades, please communicate this to Naima so she can take a look.
  •  A reminder that we will continue to follow the 10-10 Rule. Students should not leave classes the first and last ten minutes of each period. Additionally, we ask that all students remain in their 5th period classes unless it is an absolute emergency. This is lunch and we want to limit students in the hallways at this time (#skipping).
  • Lanyards were placed in your boxes. There is a class list and a sign in sheet as well. Please check off students as they are given their lanyard and have them sign their name on the sign in sheet. Please turn BOTH of these into the office by Wednesday morning.
