Morning Minute for October 5th

  • Thank you for your focus and presence this morning. We will continue to practice centering circles in our work for the year.
  • I also want to thank everyone who opened their classrooms to our Taiwanese delegates. I was able to meet with them today and answer questions etc. They were very impressed with the work they saw and commented on our student's positive attitudes. Kudos!
  • I need to share that I had one of those moments today when I looked around at students digging up peppers, drilling holes in gutters, hanging lights and I was overcome with emotion. Not one, but two colleagues stepped in to support Mr.Benson's 7th period Horticulture/Gardening class. Students were engaged and problem solving left and right.  💕
  • We will be taking over Room 101 on Monday. Donna and Natalia will be moving out of the library and into their new temporary digs. The district is moving their belongings over the weekend. More info to come.
  • MAP testing will take place 3rd and 4th period. We will share attendance information with Naima. Please send students on the list ASAP so we can complete testing tomorrow.
  • I will be at Leadership tomorrow. I will be checking email and texts.
