Tuesday the 30th

  • Theresa is out for the remainder of the week at a training/in-service for Coaches and Admin. She has a substitute.  Testing will continue. She sent out an email to those teachers who are directly impacted. Please be sure to read the details of this.
  • Tara and I will both be out tomorrow for the above training. We will both be back on Thursday. Emily will be admin in charge tomorrow. Please be aware that response to situations may be limited. Lean on your classroom management plans and be sure to share anything that needs to be addressed by admin in an email, text, etc. We will do our best to get to it as soon as we can, but priority will be given to safety issues tomorrow. Emily will be out at the training Thursday. We will all be back Friday (we did not arrange this timing...I promise).
  • I am trying to FINALIZE move/packing information with the OSM (Office of School Modernization). I believe all those staying at HP now have their actual locations. Some rooms have shifted. I have reached out to those impacted by any shifts. For those MS teachers who are staying I email you directly once I have the one question answered in regards to closing classrooms at the end of the year.
  • As a reminder the building will be open on Saturday from about 9:00 (I will email out the official opening time) to 9:00 in the evening. I have again requested boxes for moving. They anticipate that each classroom generally has about 15 boxes. They have provided us with what they believe is enough boxes. I am advocating we need additional boxes. I am pushing for delivery of these ASAP. Please do not empty paper boxes in the copy room, or other boxes, for moving. Someone did this last week an piled paper up causing a safety issue as well as making a mess. I know boxes are at a premium and we are working on it. Boxes will be flattened and  turned back in so they can be reused. I learned each box is $2.50. I am learning a lot.
