Nightly News April 13th

  • Tara and I will be ironing out the details of her transition. We each hope to have two days a week       to focus on the nuts and bolts of transition work and the other two days in K-5 classrooms                 supporting students and teachers. The plan as of right now is to have one of us doing transition         work and the other being available for support.
  • On that note, we will be holding a meet and greet for Tara here at Harrison Park next Friday at 3:30. Staff who would like to attend should feel free to flex their time and are welcome to arrive at work  at 8:30ish. I wanted to let you know in advance so you can make shifts as needed.
  • The K-5 Instructional Leadership Team is working on the schedule for next year. If you have ideas or preferences, you can email them to Irene, Paige, and/or Theresa. Also, it would be great to have 1 or 2 people join this group. We will be meeting on 4/19, 5/3, and 5/17 from 3:30-4:30 in the conference room. There may also be a meeting 5/10 from 8-8:30. Let Theresa know if you'd like to join.
  • Jill will not be here tomorrow as she had some family commitments.
  • We will be doing some training/work around Buddy Classrooms and Calming Corners next Tuesday. Please fill out the following document in preparation: BuddyPartner - Google Forms
  • Please be sure you are being vigilant around taking attendance. This is especially true with our middle school classes. Today a student was marked ill for the first three periods until their 4th period teacher saw they were present. It is imperative we are aware of who is in the building at all times. In the same vein knowing who is not in the building.
  • Mark your calendars for Schoolhouse Supplies Thanks a Million event on May 6th @ Parkrose High School. They will be giving away $1,000,000 (yes that is a million dollars) in gifts and supplies to teachers.
