Nightly News for March 7th

  • Emily and I met with PAT this morning. I have again requested boxes AGAIN. I am hoping we get them by the end of this week. 
  • It was brought to our attention there is are ants in classrooms. If you have an issue with ants in your classroom please email Tino and CC Shannon. 
  • A reminder that I am leaving around noon tomorrow and will be out for the rest of the week. I will be available by text or email (except when I am driving)
  • We are going to make a consorted effort to check hall passes this week. Please ensure you are writing/sending students with hall passes at all times. 
  • We will hold a fire drill tomorrow at 9:15. Please be sure to look at your exit maps for your alternative routes in the event your regular exit is blocked. 
  • Educator Reminder of Internal Round - On Monday, March 6, eligible educators received an email reminding them of the internal round which included instructions for applying. You can view a copy of that email here.

    Overall Staffing Timeline Reminders

    The overall staffing timeline can be found on the staffing resources webpage pps.net/staffing. Below are a few key dates to remember:

    • Internal Round Opens: Monday, March 6 at 12:01 am

    • Internal Round Closes: Friday, March 10 at 11:59 pm

    • Interviews & Reference Checks: Monday-Thursday, March 13-16 - Please note we have extended the number of interview days due to cadre meetings.

    • Rec-to-Fill due to HR: no later than Friday, March 17

    • Final Assignments & External Hiring - we will clear any content area that does not have unassigned educators to go external as early as prior to spring break. Most final assignments will occur in the weeks following spring break. More information about the process is forthcoming.
