Nightly News for March 22nd

  • Several staff members reported the doors propped open to the outside over the last few days. Please remember we absolutely cannot have doors propped open for any reason. The only way this would be acceptable is if an adult is actively stationed at the door. This is a huge safety issue that puts everyone in danger. Today for example, we had someone walk through campus during lunches that appeared to be under the influence and was not listening to adults trying to get them off campus. Fortunately, this was quickly reported and he was followed by several staff members who were in communication by radio. Had doors been open he could have easily slipped into the building. PLEASE DO NOT PROP DOORS even for a minute. If you see a door propped open please shut it. Any doors not functioning correctly should be reported.
  • Kara is holding CHAMPS support/discussion and collaboration time tomorrow @ 8:00 in her room. Anyone is welcome to join.
  •  ELPA testing is winding down and teachers will be working their way back into their normal schedules in classrooms. Thank you all for your support during this time.
  • Tomorrow night is Multicultural Night. Thank you to staff who signed up to support. Please check in with Dan or Emily by 5:30 for your assignment for the evening. We will not open doors up for families until 6:00. We will be encouraging students to dress in cultural clothing if they so choose tomorrow night and Friday.
