Nightly News for January 26th

Whew we survived a rough week. Everyone, seemed a bit out of sorts. I hope tomorrow allows people to take pause and do some resetting.

  • Thank you Joel and Cami for giving our kids the opportunity to perform last night. Families were excited to see the work classes have been doing. Thank you Brenda, Dan and Danelle for helping with crowd control.
  • As a reminder the office will be closed (I will have it open when I am in my office) tomorrow. Questions about grades can be emailed to Naima. As a reminder she is out next week.
  • The secure the perimeter today was the result of a report of gunshots in the distance. We felt it was best to be proactive and called everyone in. We connected with Security Services and the Portland Police and they did some checks. They let us know they did not find anything of concern and we went back to business normal.
  • The fire drill went well. We were in and out in about 9 minutes. There were a few classes with some issues and we will speak to those classes directly on Monday.

  • One of the hopes for tomorrow is to do some data diving and retooling. I will be in the building until about 1:15 and then have a meeting off site. I hope to return after.
