Nightly News for December 8th

  •  It was brought up at today's Safety Team meeting that there have been some issues with the staff parking lot. We have expressed to Tino that the entrance should be open at 6:00 a.m. when Tino arrives. It will remain open from 6:00-9:00 and will then be shut down again during lunches. The exit will be closed at 7:00. This is the case for all parking lots UNLESS there is a school event. 
  • In that vein I want to remind staff  you should be out of the building by 6:00 if at all possible. If you are planning on staying past that time please note you should let a custodian know you are in the building and should not be parked in the school lots as you may be locked in. I cannot stress enough that you should not be staying past 6:00 for your own health and well being. I know it may happen once in a while, but it should not be a regular thing.   
  • We will be getting the Carnival schedule out as soon as possible. Please remember the carnival is an activity ALL students will attend. No student should be kept from participating. The purpose of the carnival is to send our students off on a positive note before the winter break. Kids should not be earning the Carnival as this is something they can attend regardless of other factors. 
  • I do my best to share out the contact information in regards to injury reporting to staff who may have been injured in a workplace accident or situation where students may have caused harm. Please know I encourage you to make a call if you feel you need to. I myself made a call last night anticipating I may have sustained an injury. Today, I am fine, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. If you do make a call it asks for you to report to your supervisor. Please make sure you do not miss this step. This information is then reported out at our Safety Team meetings (not specifics and no names). Let me know if you have questions.

Morning Minute for May 8th

 A reminder that lunch will be ready to roll tomorrow @ 12:40 in the staff room. We will be serving burritos and tacos.  A shift in the schedule. We will serve desserts on Friday and Italian sodas on Thursday.  Please note orders for Italian sodas need to be turned in by Thursday at noon. These can be put in Leah's box. If we do not have an order form one will not be delivered. These were handed out at staff meeting yesterday.
