Nightly News for December 1st
- Thank you to Lance Pollard who has been working with our students in room 136. Today was their last day with us. They made the commitment to remain until the end of November. We appreciate their work and dedication to our students.
- On that note, I will share that Tami Edwards, who was slated to return to room 136 this week has officially left the district. She is open to hearing from people she worked with and you are welcome to reach out to her.
- Please be sure to turn in any extended hours into Shannon you may have from the last few weeks. This is an effort to spread out her workload and ensure she has time to enter hours in.
- I have not heard a lot in regards to hot and cold rooms lately. This may be a good thing, or it may mean people are tired of reporting and nothing changing. Please let me know if your room is still experiencing extreme temperatures.
- Thank you to those of you who turned in your compacts from conferences. If you have not turned them in please do so as soon as possible.
- I will be in tomorrow morning, but will be leaving around 8:30 for a meeting at the district office. I will be back around 11:00-11:30, but will be in a facilities meeting until 12:00. I am then leaving for a personal appointment shortly after. I only have one meeting out of the building next week and may skip it (shhhh).
- The cards for Gladis are in the office for everyone to sign. They are on the table behind Shannon's desk. You do not have to ask Shannon to get to them. Thanks to everyone who has already donated to the flower fund! If you have not done that yet, and want to contribute, the envelope is in Mary's mailbox. We will be ordering the flowers on Wednesday.
- From Georgie Steeves: I was reminded that it was time again to start our awesome annual Secret Santa game (or whatever name you wish to call this activity). If you are interested in participating, please fill out the link here with your preferences by the end of the day Monday December 5th. And you will find out whose week you get to make a little brighter on that Wednesday. The idea is to give small gifts/tokens/notes etc each day the week of December 12-16 with no fewer than 3 gifts. It's so great to make someone's day a bit nicer with a thoughtful gesture. And you don't have to spend a lot of money at all.
- Danelle is working on taking data and gathering information to help build some plans for students in a classroom tomorrow and possibly into next week. She will not be available to respond to as many calls etc.
