I hope you all had a well deserved five days off. It is amazing how fast the time moves once Friday hits. I got up and started cleaning and preparing to host my dad's birthday dinner. I thought I would finish by 11:00, and would get to the Weekly Forecast but alas I am just now sitting down to finish it up. May the next three weeks will sail by!
- As I was looking over my calendar this week I see I am out of the building for several district obligations. I have noted those here.
- Please take a moment to sign the thank you note for our PTA. They worked hard ensuring there was dinner and remained open all conference hours for the Book Fair! Whew.
- Please be sure to turn in signed Compacts (teacher, parent and teacher signed off) into the basket in the office as soon as possible. Also, please turn in conference attendance sheets. We would like to talk a look at our overall attendance.
- Our staff meeting on Tuesday will begin at 3:30 with PAT starting things off.
- The weather this week looks WET. Please be sure to send your students to lunch with their coats. We will make every effort to get them outside, but it will be touch and go. Please be sure to touch base with the duty person covering your room in the event of indoor recesses to ensure they are aware of options for students.
- From Conni Brenner/Leadership students:
The Leadership class is doing Candy Cane Grams this year. It starts this Tuesday, Nov 29 and sales go through next Tuesday, Dec 6th. They are .25 cents each and will be delivered to classrooms early in the week of Dec 12th. The message from the student will be returned with a candy cane attached. K-5 teachers please sell them from the supplies we put in your box and Leadership kids will come around and pick them up on the 6th and we will candy them and deliver to you for distribution. The office has extra grams should you need more. I am also going to try to get around to the K-5 classrooms to do a bit of explanation on Monday. For middle school they will be sold at lunch time and PR/distribution will be done through Advisory. Please let me know if you have any questions on that.
The Winter Carnival for the entire school is Friday, Dec 16th. I have a request. I was wondering if anyone has funky glasses, feather boas, funny hats, etc. that we could use for the photo wall. We would return them or if you would like to donate them, that would be great as well. Thanks in advance.
