- The weather has definitely changed and we are headed into that time of year where we need to determine if it is an inside or outside day. Our goal will be to get students outside as much as possible. We saw this week when students are not able to get outside and move it makes for a long day. Please encourage students to bring their coats with them to lunch. We will make decisions on indoor/outdoor recess in real time. We may have some groups that absolutely can not go outside, and others who will endure some light mists and sprinkles
- Staff meeting is not building centered this week. Please ensure you know which cadre group you are joining.
- Thank you to everyone who turned your goals in. We will be reaching out to anyone who has not yet submitted them.
- Teachers I have appreciated a few people who have reached out to let me know about students who have made great strides in Lexia, DreamBox and just in general. I WANT to stop by and give students a shout out or encouragement when they have accomplished something. Please feel free to email, text or catch me so I can do more of this.
- Thank you to those who shared positive cards to your peers. I know we all can use encouragement. Take a moment this week and check in with your those you worked with on Tuesday to help make the positive plans and work come to fruition.
- If you get questions about costumes and dressing up for Halloween let students know we will not encourage the wearing of costumes. Many of our students do not celebrate Halloween AND we know many costumes are not school appropriate or are just downright distracting. With that being said, we won't be sending students home if they dress up or asking them to change. The exception is students can not have costume masks and their faces must be visible. We will talk more about this in coming days, but I imagine it is a topic among some students already.
- I have A LOT of emails to catch up on and will keep this week's Forecast short.
