Nightly News for October 5th
- Tomorrow is Jersey Day....
- Remember we will be holding a fire drill around 2:50ish tomorrow afternoon. Please be sure to review our exit points and ensure you are aware of where your orange bucket and emergency placard (the red and green notification deal....sorry forgetting the proper name) are. We will work to get people back into the building ASAP and follow our normal release schedule.
- Homeroom teachers, please send the Covid spit test tomorrow at 10 am to the lobby.
- Please be sure to double, and triple check doors when you are leaving the building to go outside. We have a few that are sticky and as a result do not latch correctly. Case in point is the doors leading out to the small playground. We have had it looked at and it is finicky especially when it is warmer outside.
- K-5 classroom teachers several of you had parents sign up for conferences and Open House and are continuing to work on scheduling. Please be sure to update the online conference form at your earliest convenience. We will be taking those in need of interpreters and plugging them into the interpreter's schedules. From there we can work on a plan to finish scheduling conferences for those families needing interpreters. Here is a link to the conference scheduling document: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11exDXKs1dusWTeZghCScLFqE55tf0Ut9sKtKKD0zkkI/edit?usp=sharing
- We are still looking for one more volunteer to put together our December Monthly Bulldog Basket. The theme is Snow Day. You will be reimbursed $50. Please email Emily if you are interested.
- We are seeing some staff absences come up due to illness. There are definitely some bad colds going around. As a reminder we do not get subs for our EA staff members and when they are out we try to triage as best as we can. In the event that a Kinder EA is out we will potentially be pulling other support staff to fill in for Rubie, Peijun or Eva. If other support staff are out (Danelle, Natalie, Moira, Jay, Cecily, My and Alyssa) no coverage will be available. We will do our best to ensure their duties are covered. Para educators can get a sub, but this doesn't always happen. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
