Nightly News for October 31st

  •  I have been struggling to have focused time to complete evaluations and Title 1 compliance work. I worked offsite today with the intention of coming in around 1:30, but was on a very productive roll and opted to continue my work. Thank you team for holding things down in my absence. The good news is I a now up to date on evaluations. Title 1 work has started and I will hopefully continue to make a dent in it this evening. I will be in tomorrow!
  • Ahhh the day after Halloween. Always a fun one at school. I will send out a Remind message tonight to ask parents to not send students with candy to school. I will also remind them about our non-sharing policy. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the rain may deter a lot of those huge candy hauls. Pack your patience in your lunch because I am sure you will need it.
  • Just a reminder that students should take their coats and outside garb with them to recess. We will make every effort to get them outside. I know today was nasty, but we will look for any breaks we can in the weather.
  • The roof for the bike shelter arrived after noon today. Work will continue over the next two weeks. Again, please let me know if the noise level is too much. The contractor has been given times that they can have louder noise levels and will make an effort to comply.
  • Please be sure you review the Weekly Forecast for exact times. Tomorrow is our first performing arts assembly for our K-2 students.  We will call classes directly, or do an all call, for those who are participating. Tomorrow's K-2 assembly will run from approximately 1:45-2:15. We may call a bit earlier so be ready to come to the auditorium around 1:40. Please ensure you have gone over assembly expectations with your students prior to coming down. We will review them at the assembly as well. Once you arrive at the front two doors we will direct you to your locations. If you are opting not to attend please text or email Leah so they don't hold up the assembly waiting.
