Nightly News for October 25th

  • In the last week or so we have had several situations come up around the use of racial language. This is in our K-5 grades as well as middle school. We will be addressing this with some visits to classrooms, lessons, etc. At this time we have not been able to solidify an Equity Team. This is the kind of work this group can support. If anyone is interested in helping with this imperative work please let me know.
  • The winners of the hottest room competition are: Marie Dunn, Morgan Novick and the fantastic EA Moira Koskey. I jest at the "competition" around this. Please know I will be sending these photos on to the district office. I will be sure to get the prizes out as soon as possible.
  • This Friday, all K-5 science kits need to be ready for pick up. Please review this communication for pick up details.

  • This year, K-5 educators are returning to the practice of using the Quarter 1 report card, rather than the conference form we have used for several years. Please read this message for further guidance on this shift.

Morning Minute for May 8th

 A reminder that lunch will be ready to roll tomorrow @ 12:40 in the staff room. We will be serving burritos and tacos.  A shift in the schedule. We will serve desserts on Friday and Italian sodas on Thursday.  Please note orders for Italian sodas need to be turned in by Thursday at noon. These can be put in Leah's box. If we do not have an order form one will not be delivered. These were handed out at staff meeting yesterday.
