Nightly News for October 18th

  • I know you are all working very hard for our students Please take a few minutes to find the positive. Drop a positive note, email, or text to your co-workers. We have to support each other when things are the hardest.
  • I know the air quality indoor recess caught me off guard. It was one of those things I did not think about when I got here this morning at 7:30. It looks as if we may be in the same situation tomorrow.  I will update people as soon as we know.  Here is an updated link to our indoor recess schedule. Teachers who have kids in their classrooms at recess please touch base with the person in your room for recess to provide them with what kids can and can not do during this time. https://docs.google.com/document/d/18TP_kBTQnxg4fegstvmcKfAaIG2CRDYRBOlL8pAfcqc/edit?usp=sharing
  • I want to apologize for a mistake I made. We had a rainy day recess schedule that went out a few weeks ago when we had potential rain. I ran it by some people, and alas we failed to catch that 4th period 6th grade PE is using one of the gyms at the same time as 2nd/3rd grade recess. In my plans I had 2nd grade using one gym and 3rd grade using the other...clearly this math didn't add up. My mistake set kids up for failure. We will have 2nd graders go to their rooms for indoor recess. I will communicate out to 2nd/3rd grade teachers directly around this.
  • Teacher Tech Tip- From Brenda Carpenter

Teachers have been noticing many keyboards that seem to be "mixed up." Easy fix!

  • Hold control+shift then press the space bar repeatedly until it shows US in the lower right corner of the screen.
