Nightly News for Tuesday the 27th

  • I meant to post before I left tonight, but alas I was a bit distracted. By the time I got home I received an email  from the superintendent's office letting me know he will be visiting tomorrow around 10:15. Please carry on with learning as normal. My hope is to visit some classrooms, but I will take his lead. My apologies for the late post, but I chose to take a few hours off to focus on my family and celebration of my nephew's birthday. When a 13 year-old requests a family party you embrace it!
  • Thank you for your flexibility on the bus drill today. In years past they have used the south parking lot for our drills. This year they determined they could not maneuver through and lined up in front of the building instead. We were short one bus, but were still able to get everyone done quickly. I appreciate student behavior. You guys did a great job getting students out and back into the building. We saw some stellar classes. Hats off to you. If you did not turn in your attendance sheet to Kara, Dan, Emily or me (or another support staff) please turn it in to Shannon. This is for our records. 
  • We are aware of the ongoing glitch with Chromebooks. Kenneth was observing the holiday yesterday and was out. Even with that said, he checked in to report they are working to find answers. Hold tight. 
  • I will be putting out Indoor Recess information tomorrow morning. I worked on it a bit today, but it isn't 100% complete as of press time.

Morning Minute for May 8th

 A reminder that lunch will be ready to roll tomorrow @ 12:40 in the staff room. We will be serving burritos and tacos.  A shift in the schedule. We will serve desserts on Friday and Italian sodas on Thursday.  Please note orders for Italian sodas need to be turned in by Thursday at noon. These can be put in Leah's box. If we do not have an order form one will not be delivered. These were handed out at staff meeting yesterday.
