Nightly News for Monday the 26th

  •  A reminder that tomorrow is our bus drill. They will arrive between 9:45-10:05. We do have a total of seven buses coming. We will begin with middle school classes.

This drill will require teachers to be listening carefully for their phones and for the announcements. We anticipate this will impact 4th/5th and 2nd/3rd Specials to some extent. Drill Instructions- A class list was put in your boxes today. Please keep this list and highlight students who were absent. We will ask you to bring it with you to the bus and turn it in at that time.   When it is your classes turn to board buses please take students through either the doors nearest the small playground, or the cafeteria doors (headed into the parking lot). Once you arrive at the doors please wait for someone to give you directions. Our goal is to have all students with their teacher on the same bus, but some classes may be split up.  Please have your students remain in line and assist them in boarding the bus. All support staff (EAs, Paras, etc.) should support the class they are in at the time of the drill. Once your class has completed the drill, you are free to return to class. Please show the following videos to your homeroom classes. Thank you to those who did this today. Bus Safety- Click HERE for video 1 (School Bus Evacuation) and HERE  for video 2 (School Bus Safety for Kids). We will be looking for classes that are following expectations!

    • If a student's Chromebook is logging in and then immediately logging out it is a known Google problem and there isn't an answer on how to fix it yet. We will keep you posted.
    • In your mailboxes you will find a plastic sheet holder with a ring attached.  Please attach this to your Emergency Buckets with a current copy of your class list(s). Special teachers you have enough for all of your classes. If you have any extras you can put them back in my mailbox.
    • We are going to hold off on making the Kinder/1st Lunch swap. We will try some other interventions and make a decision in the future.
    • As a reminder there is no on-site staff meeting tomorrow. All PAT members should have a cadre meeting they are attending. Please let Emily and I know if you are not sure where you should be attending.
