Nightly News for August 25th
We were spread near and far today. I hope you had a productive day. We will be back in the building tomorrow at 8:00.
As of 5:30 this evening they were wrapping up the counters in the office. They were halfway done with the lobby flooring. I am being told they hope to complete the floor tonight. Once that is done they will be able to move the office back in. I am praying this will allow us to make the move back into the office tomorrow morning. Please be mindful that our office staff needs to time to set up the office so they can support staff and families. I would like to ask we provide them with as much focused time to do this as possible. I know when I am able to work with few interruptions I can get things done much faster. Please allow the office some time to get settled so they can be fully back online as quickly as possible. I will task someone with checking keys out after we complete our MTSS training tomorrow morning. For the rest of Friday I am going to have ask you to ask this question before you head to the office, ¨Is this something that I need right this minute? Can it wait until the office is back online?¨ If the answer is that you don´t need it right this minute and it can wait for the day, please wait. I will communicate when they are ready to begin addressing needs more fully. I appreciate your cooperation on this.
- All staff please report to the library at 8:00 to continue our MTSS training. We may release PFSP staff at some point during the morning session. We have two modules to complete and once we are done PAT members will be given the rest of the morning to work on completing their ECP/Classroom Management Plans (insert your favorite acronym here). The remaining half day is for preparing your room and gearing up for the first day. As a reminder these are due the first day of school.
- PFSP staff please check with Shannon, Leah, Emily or Theresa (whoever you can catch) once your mandatory trainings are complete. We will be dispatching our support team out to assist on various tasks we need to complete before the first day.
- Here is the Google Form ALL STAFF need to complete. Some may not be applicable to your position/space. Please be sure to complete soon. If you have repairs that need to be made in your room, need additional furniture, etc. you will input that request here Welcome Back Checklist
- Remember the building is under construction and the custodians have projects they were not able to to complete because of the construction. We ask you allow them to focus on those tasks. If you have room needs please fill out the Welcome Back Checklist. Custodians will be focusing on those tasks they could not complete until now. We will prioritize requests based on safety and impact on student learning needs for the first day of school.
- All staff should plan to be out of the building by 5:30 tomorrow night. The custodians will be closing the building at 6:00. In the event this changes I will communicate this out. Plan your work accordingly. The building will be open for staff until 8:00 next week. The following week we will ask you to be out by 6:00.
- The front parking lot should be used by the following staff members: Office staff and administration. We will be painting 2 spots for visitors and one will be marked as a 15 minute spot.
