Boy I am out of assembly practice! It was great to see the Elementary classes in our first assembly for them. We hope to do another one in few weeks. The next weeks will be busy and FLY by. Please be sure you are reading the Nightly News and Weekly Forecast on details around events, schedules, etc.
- If you are sending students to run errands please send ONLY one student unless the job takes two. The exception would be Kinder and 1st grade. We are seeing multiple student delivering books, getting snack, attendance, etc. when the job only requires one. Unfortunately, this often results mishaps.
- Remember to pick up your snacks daily at 10:00 am. They are ready at this time. We have some snacks not being picked up and as a result they need to be thrown out at the end of the day.
- We have had to pull people off duties to cover in classrooms, have had an uptick in staff absences, etc. We are doing our best to dispatch people to cover duties that may be missed, but the ball gets dropped at times. If you are in a situation where there is not enough coverage please call, or walkie (if possible) and we will send someone ASAP. I know one teacher did not have someone show up for an indoor recess and this past week. If you are out on a prearranged absence please make every effort to find coverage for your duty.
- There has been discussion around the weekly drawings and prizes. Carole Whitmore has offered to take on our Weekly K-5 drawings for the duration of the school year. K-5 teachers please submit one name from your class to Carole by Wednesday morning at 8:30. She will be curating a list for Conni Brenner so our Leadership students can begin making the announcements on Friday. This will be done by Wednesday afternoon in order to allow students time to practice, etc. If names are not submitted to Carole by Wednesday morning they will be carried forward to the following week. Thank you Carole for taking this on.
- K-4 Classroom teachers - please make sure your class placement forms are filled in by the end of the week. Theresa filled in some for you. Soon guidance and time will be given to divide them into classes and all info needs to be in prior to that.
- Students are losing chargers at an unsustainable rate. A lot of them are being lost at school. PLEASE announce to your students to leave their chargers at home. If you find extras in your classroom, please give them to Dave or Kenneth for redistribution.
- Middle school staff this was already shared out with you. Please fill it out if you have not already. K-5 Staff please fill out this survey in regards to your tech carts/hardware. We are working to get things in order for next year. Hardware Survey
- We need more adult support with Middle School testing next week, 9:05-10:15 Tue-Fri. Please add yourself here next to teacher's name(s) if you are able to support.
- Here is the May TechSmart Newsletter to share with staff.
