Lunch Service- Swan, Huff, Manley, Schulze

I hope you were all able to do some recharging in the sun this weekend. It was the first nice weekend I have been at home and it was productive.

  • Members of our ILCT (Instructional Leadership, Climate Team) have been asked if they want to remain on the team for next year or pass the torch. We do have some vacancies. The goal is to get a representative from all building teams/grade bands etc. We would also like at least one PFSP member to be on this team.  If you are interested here are some things to note:
We are planning to have our schedule reflect the following for our meeting times for next year:

1st Wednesday - AM meeting Check In
2nd Wednesday - PM meeting (Paid) Academic/Instructional Focus
3rd Wednesday - AM meeting Check In
4th Wednesday - PM meeting (Paid) MTSS Focus

One group will focus on instruction and academics and the other on Climate and MTSS work. Members will meet three times a month with one of those being after school from 3:30-4:30 or 5:00. This would be extended pay. Members would focus on Academics/Instruction or Climate and the whole group will meet every other week.
Members of this time are asked to garner feedback, disseminate information and potentially support with staff development. We ask that members commit to attending meetings regularly.
This group will also be meeting on Tuesday June 14th from 9-12 and for at least half a day in August before we return to the building to plan our PD. Please let me know if you are interested in joining this team.

  • This Tuesday the school board will be voting on the proposal put forth by the SEGC. The board has opened from 5:00-5:45 for community input. Information was sent out to Harrison Park families last week in regards to this. Feedback can be given in several ways. If you know of anyone who may be interested in providing the board with feedback please let me know and I will ensure they have received this information.

  • A HUGE shout out to Theresa for all of her work on OSAS Testing. This is a huge undertaking and things have gone smoothly. We appreciate everyone's work.

From Theresa: First and Foremost - Thank you for your efforts with testing! With the exception of Steeves, and possibly Cox, classroom teachers are DONE administering tests. Also, a big shout out to Monica for keeping us going with Chromebooks. Go Team!

Please watch the incomplete tests lists on your testing document. (MS electives teachers I'll try to get an updated list to you.)

1. 8th grade science will be tested Monday (and likely Tuesday) during 2nd, 3rd, and 5th periods.

2. Make Up Test Sessions (I'll update you if these change) will be
Monday 1st period (9-10:10) and 4th period (12-12:50)
Tuesday 1:30-2:45
Wednesday 1:30-2:45
Thursday 10:30-12:30 and 1:30-2:45

Middle school teachers let me know if you need passes for this or if you can let kids know when to come based on the incomplete list (I'll add these times at the top!)

3. Feedback Please! - I know you're tired of surveys. Please look this over. No need to answer everything but, please give feedback on anywhere we can do better. (I will hound you about this because...that's the way I am.)

  • The grading window is now open. For K-5 labeled envelopes will be put in your mailboxes tomorrow. You will need print report cards, stuff them and bring them to the office to be mailed out by June 14th.  DO NOT Seal envelopes as this makes it much more difficult for the mail room at the BESC. We will be discussing report cards in more detail at PLCS this week.
  • On that note the office will be completely shut down for the summer on June 17th. Please keep in mind office staff have to pack the entire office by this date. They will have the normal mountain of year end work to accomplish as well as packing. Deadlines will be FIRM.
  • Some people have asked if they have to be out of the building on the 14th. The answer to this is no. The building will remain open through the 17th. The office will not be available to support after the 14th. If you are working in the building after the 14th the ask is to allow them to focus on their work. Emily and I will be in the building through the 17th and can assist if needed.
  • The year end checklist will be out in next week's Weekly Forecast.
