Nightly News for May 5th

  •  Darrel's computer has been located. As a reminder please lock doors and belongings up when you leave spaces. Please be sure to enable trackers, tracers, etc. on your devices as this helps with locating items.
  • Thank you to our office staff for providing breakfast to teachers today! Remember tomorrow is the final day of "Our Teachers are Best BAR NONE". Thatchers @ 3:50. Appetizers will be provided. All staff is welcome to celebrate our teachers.
  • The district has sent out an email in regards to a large increase in requests for substitutes. I am being asked to share:  While emergencies happen, work with your teachers on providing as much notice as possible for any personal leave time.  As a refresher, except in emergencies, personal leave (paid or unpaid) requires one week notice.  Paid personal leave is not authorized for vacation; it is restricted to “unavoidable family business which cannot be attended to outside of the employee’s work hours.”  Up to 3 days of unpaid personal leave may be taken “for personal reasons.”  In the event you have the need to take a personal day please make efforts to secure a sub in advance and try to avoid Monday and Fridays. The district is again dispatching district office folks on Mondays and Fridays to support unfilled absences.
  • Tomorrow we are holding K-5 assemblies. They will take place from 1:00-3:00. See specific times listed below. K-5 teachers we will have assigned areas for your class to sit in. We will have kids spread out by class  and try to offer ample room so you can have kids sit every other chair for spacing. I will let you make this determination. I will be putting signs at the end of the seats by 11:00 tomorrow morning. I am going to be making calls to families of students whose names I had as of 4:00 this afternoon early this evening.
