Nightly News for April 28th

  • We are placing an order for tech supplies VERY soon. Please fill out this brief survey ASAP - https://forms.gle/uXFA637LESdmH5c4A
  •   Reminders about Team Responses - 1. This isn't a lock down but, also not business as usual. This is used when there is something happening in a part of the school that we don't want kids involved in. 2. When a team response is called IF YOU HAVE STUDENTS - take attendance and account for missing students. Try not to call the office but, if needed it is okay. You may not get an answer right away. You can call other rooms to verify a student is there. Then keep students in your classroom until further notice. They are not going out for water/bathroom during this. If it's an emergency call the office for an okay or escort if needed. 3. If you DON'T have students - report to the office or lobby area and wait. Directions will be given. It may be that we don't need you and you'll be dismissed.
  • On that note today's Team Response was a mental health issue. The last, and only two we have had this year, have both been in this vein. Thankfully, today's incident ended calmly, but it is important to follow the above protocols. The only other thing I will add is even after all things are cleared please be mindful that staffing may be thin as we work to dispatch support even after the alert is lifted.
  • Today's middle school activity hour was a success! Thank you to all those who stayed after to make this possible and to Ms.Moore for her work. I was only able to make it for a very short time, but it was great to take in the teen spirit and see the joy. Next week I look forward to K-5 assemblies!
