Nightly News for March 17th

  • ONE MORE DAY. WE CAN DO IT! Please be sure to take a deep breath, your patience pill, and get ready for what may be a turbulent day. Remember many of our students will be anxious about the break and the lack of structure. Give them extra love! I hope you all have the Spring Break of your choosing...rest, adventure, catching up...whatever your heart desires.
  • If you are needing to come to the building during the break please text me in advance. The district is discouraging staff from coming into the building over the break. Your badges will still work, but we have been asked to have staff run their by administration first.
  • We will have parents in the building for our first in person coffee tomorrow. We will be using the library for this purpose.
  • THANK YOU to our amazing Nutrition Services staff for their quick work today hosting our visitors. Nga, Mirna, Chelsea and Brandy and Tino who made sure we were good to go. We had some folks from the USDA, Oregon Agriculture Department and the district office. They were impressed with our students and enjoyed speaking to them about lunches. Some of my favorite student quotes, "You are sitting in my seat." "Why is the government here?" "Do you know these people Mrs.Dickey?" "Do you guys get a free lunch or do you have to pay $5".
  • I will announce the Pickle Party Winners at 10:30 tomorrow.
  •  COVID test kits went out over the past two days. We have messaged out to parents and these should be sent home today, or tomorrow.
  • Please be sure to be prompt in picking students up on time from recess and getting them to recess/lunch on time (not early). The same applies for specials.
