  • This is the last week of MAP testing. Please remind students of any makeup or "finishing" sessions they may be scheduled for. We will begin looking at the results and using information to help us determine how we can support student learning and grown.
  • Please click on the link below for a survey that should take less than 5 minutes- please reply by 2/21!

  • Candy Grams went out on Friday. Please distribute to your homeroom students tomorrow. K-5 teachers you are welcome to wait until the end of the day to do this. Thank you to Conni, Shannon and the leadership class for taking this on. I know it means a lot to students. I also want to thank our PTA for their work!
  • We sent out a Messenger to families to ask that cupcakes and other treats being sent to school be packaged to be sent home. We know many of you will be spending a bit of time tomorrow celebrating. Please be sure to follow all COVID protocols and avoid eating/being unmasked as much as possible. For this reason best practices would be to send all goodies home with kids at the end of the day. You may want to go with pick one treat as I know it will be hard.
  • Our PTA has recently received a grant to work on parent outreach in diverse communities. I will be sharing more information in the next few weeks, but wanted to let you know they may be asking teachers for some parents they should reach out to.
  • Harrison Park is one of 15 schools in the district who will be working with The New Teachers Project. To meet this goal, during the time of March 7 - 16, TNTP will:
    1. Conduct in-person walkthroughs in a sample of ELA and math classrooms in your building

    2. Collect assignments students are asked to complete

These data collection efforts are an opportunity for us to better understand the progress we are making as a district and where we need to provide additional support. I am working to provide TNTP, and the district with class schedules, emails, etc. for this purpose. We will provide you with more information, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up.

  • Our staff meeting will be going over general staffing information, a brief Securly (K-5) mini lesson, and time for the Successful Schools Survey. Please be sure to bring your device. We will determine if this is virtual or in person tomorrow.

  • Last week we gave everyone time to complete the Pepper training for OSAS testing. If you have completed this please let Theresa know. We are starting to plan for this. Again, this needs to be completed as time was given.
