Nightly News for February 24th

  •  It was a bit of an exciting morning. I know I hit a few accidents and slick spots on the way in. My family had a two hour delay and then their districts called it a day. I admit I am very jealous. Anyway, for staff arriving by 8:45 there is no need to put in for time as we anticipated people arriving late. For those arriving after 8:45 please submit for the time you were out. For example if you arrived at 9:15 it would be .5 hours. 
  • Staffing is almost there....I am now on to balancing glitches. Some more work this evening and hopefully tomorrow I can work with some experts to balance out. Thank you for your patience this week as this is worked on. 
  • Next week is Read Across America Week!  This is a super fun event to celebrate a love of reading, and I hope that you and your classes will all participate!  I am putting together a spirit week for the event, as well as some reading incentives.  
Classroom teachers: I will be putting reading tickets in your boxes this week. Please give these to students when they complete 15 minutes of reading.  They will put their reading tickets into the boxes in the front lobby.  On Friday I will pull names from the boxes, and those students will get a prize.

I've attached the flyer for next week's spirit days.  I hope to see a lot of you dressed up!  The classes from each grade level with the most participants will get a prize.  Conni's leadership students will be coming around to count participants each day during 6th period.

Morning Minute for May 8th

 A reminder that lunch will be ready to roll tomorrow @ 12:40 in the staff room. We will be serving burritos and tacos.  A shift in the schedule. We will serve desserts on Friday and Italian sodas on Thursday.  Please note orders for Italian sodas need to be turned in by Thursday at noon. These can be put in Leah's box. If we do not have an order form one will not be delivered. These were handed out at staff meeting yesterday.
